From the Archives: The Submarine Sessions – Sweet tunes from the bottom of the sea… (by Jessi-Q 30. October 2009)

The fine under water project, The Submarine Sessions, made by the online cultural- and art magazine Third Ear, has a really cool line-up of artists performing a song in a submarine. With only one mic, one camera and just that one-take, the bands give a very intimate lo-fi performance spiced up with under the sea/submarine sound effects. Crunchy Frog contributes with two artists: Lars and The Hands of Light and PowerSolo. Other artists performing are Baby Woodrose, The Raveonettes, The Rumour Said Fire, When Saints Go Machine, Nikolaj Nørlund, Cody and Oh Land. Watch Lars ATHOL play a version of ‘Me Me Me’ that’ll give you the chills below. Next week you’ll be able to see PowerSolo cut loose, when their piece will be uploaded.
